With a distinctly 1930’s feel and a warm, buzzing candlelit ambience, Minetta Tavern has been dusted off and revamped by NYC restaurant demi-god, Keith McNally (of Balthazar and Pastis fame), who has the midas touch when its comes to re-launching fabulous local institutions.

The Breslin Dining Room Following the success of her Michelin star gastropub, The Spotted Pig, in New York's Greenwich Village, acclaimed chef April Bloomfield has turned her attention to a new dining venture in the hipster-favourite hotel, The Ace Hotel. Renowned for her nose-to-tail modern British cuisine with rich, bold and hearty seasonal flavours, The Breslin Restaurant & Bar is packed every night (and we mean like sardines). This place is not really for health conscious diners, with a meat-heavy, artery-clogging menu of comfort food favourites.

After spending many years behind the stove in some of New York’s best fine dining restaurants, chef Andrew Carmellini has taken a change of pace by opting for a more crowd-pleasing, soul satisfying menu of Italian flavours.

Blue Ribbon It’s rare to find a chain of restaurants that, a) are generally any good; b) can replicate the quality of food and dining throughout multiple restaurants, while still creating a fresh, new dining experience. The Bromberg Brothers’ Blue Ribbon restaurant group have found the magic formula, because all of their six restaurants in Manhattan have been a smash-hit. Local favourite Blue Ribbon Bakery, is set within a casual, rustic wooden space yet serves cuisine that is so heart-warming and stomach-satisfyingly good that you’ll want to slowly work your way through the entire menu.
