Harry's Bar

  • Cocktail Bars

Despite the fairly horrendous tourist crowds that seem to flock here throughout the summer months, Harry’s Bar is nonetheless a Venetian institution and a mandatory stop (at least once) while you’re in Venice. Renowned for their superb Bellini cocktails with prosecco and fresh peach, step back in time to the 1930s where white-suited old-school waiters offer the full silver service treatment. Now run by Arrigo Cipriani, the son of the original founder, Giuseppe Cipriani, Harry’s Bar hasn’t changed one bit over the past few decades, with classically stylish interiors of wooden furnishings and low-ceilings. You can almost image Ernest Hemmingway perched at the bar working his way through their expertly-mixed selection of classic cocktails. Make sure you head upstairs to enjoy the beautiful views overlooking Giudecca island and the Grand Canal.
