Family-owned Delfina is a stylish and casual neighborhood trattoria located in San Francisco's trendy residential area, the Mission District. Chef-owner Craig Stoll—who graduated from the CIA and trained in Torino, Italy, and in Tuscany’s one Michelin starred Da Delfina—offers a daily-changing menu that draws upon premium seasonal ingredients and rustic Italian staples. Delfina’s source ingredients are primarily all homemade: from the cured meats and sausages to the gelato that goes with the richly proportioned profiteroles. Some highlights include the signature grilled fresh Monterey Bay calamari with warm white bean salad, and the homemade Paccheri all’Amalfitana (Alaskan true cod) which was inspired by the chef’s travels to the Amalfi Coast. Complete your meal at the trattoria with a selection from the tempting and exclusive array of Italian dessert wines. Delfina also offers a funky, more relaxed pizzeria next door with fantastic authentic wood-fired pizza and more accessible prices than its counterpart next door. The friendly service team compliments the low-key, fun and relaxed atmosphere here. During more agreeable weather, both Delfina and Delfina Pizzeria boast a vibrant sidewalk scene with ample terrace seating.
