Having first opened in 1924, Bar Necci is a charming Pigneto district café which offers its patrons a taste of local life in Rome. Stainless steel furniture and chic white walls peppered with photographs and memorabilia give the inside of this café a vintage 1960s Bohemian atmosphere. Bar Necci serves an all-day menu of hearty Italian dishes, fresh-baked pastries, coffee and Italian sodas, where locally sourced ingredients tend to feature heavily throughout the menu. Diners are offered four choices for each course in the daily-changing menu: antipasti, the appetizer; primi, the first course; secondi, the entrée; and dolci, or dessert.
