Roberta Sudbrack

  • Brazilian

The award-winning Roberta Sudbrack restaurant is a contemporary fine dining restaurant surrounded by botanical gardens in Rio de Janeiro's picturesque Lagoa neighborhood. After a seven-year sojourn as lead chef at Brazil's presidential palace, chef Sudbrack was inspired to bring tasty fare to the public and opened her own restaurant in 2008. She is renowned for her dedication to the use of local and natural ingredients, and often visits the dining room to check on her guests throughout the evening. Expect daring re-interpretations of classical recipes within her daily-changing menu, which is based around the finest seasonal premium ingredients sourced from local suppliers each day. For the ultimate indulgence opt for the Tasting Menu, or for a more restrained affair sample her signature a la carte tastes such as the smoked shrimp with okra, the fresh foie gras terrine, or the dourado fish served with green corn. The Roberta Sudrack bistro seats approximately 60 patrons, and features inviting modern interiors of pale walls, burgundy carpeting and wooden tables and chairs.
