Having opened its doors in 1913 as a humble over-the-counter seafood shack, Joe’s Stone Crab is a legendary South Beach institution that is still packed every day of the week. Locals and tourists can be seen queuing in long lines down the street to taste the sweet, succulent stone crab and fresh seafood. You can dine in the more upscale restaurant, which unfortunately maintains a strict no-booking policy which can see you waiting for a table for hours. However we recommend that you skip the long wait and the grumpy service staff, grab a bottle of wine and head next door to Joe’s Takeaway to enjoy a seafood picnic on the beach. Perfect. No bookings.
