Ambitious Danish foodie Claus Meyer has created a organic food lover's paradise at his all-in-one Meyer's Deli cafe, takeaway and grocery store, now with three popular branches throughout Copenhagen. As co-owner of the world’s number one restaurant, Noma, the Meyer's Deli concept promotes a seasonal menu of simple and fresh Nordic fare. In addition to the restaurant's casual cafe, you'll find a take-away menu of gourmet ready-to-eat lunchboxes for lazy Sunday dinners or picnics, and a range of bottled preserves from Meyer's own orchards in their upscale grocery section. The original Meyer’s Deli is located in the trendy neighbourhood of Frederiksberg and is one of our favourite weekend brunch spots, where you can indulge in a feast of grilled sausage with lovage, eggs en cocotte with cheese, spinach and bacon, small pancakes with hazelnuts, and a heavenly frozen smoothie made with Swedish sea-buckthorn, verbena, and oats. Try to secure one of the highly coveted tables on the picturesque tree-lined Gammel Kongevej during the warmer months. The second branch opened in Copenhagen's largest department store, Magasin, perfect for the shopping crowd, and a third in Kongens Have where you can pick up a take-away feast and enjoy a picnic at the neighbouring Rosenborg Have Park.
