Set within an intimate upstairs space in Berlin’s notorious Berghain nightclub - a monstrous dance hall and hedonistic mecca that takes up half of a former power plant in Friedrichshain - Panorama Bar is famous for its parties which last until dawn and beyond. The Panorama Bar is adorned with huge photographs by Wolfgang Tillman, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offer beautiful views overlooking East Berlin. This club within a club is quite a bit less licentious than Berghain’s main rave hall downstairs, however its clientele is still bent on partying late into the night. When dawn breaks, its shutters open to let the light stream in - like a reminder that the world outside still exists - however, they close immediately to plunge you back into the disorienting and raucous party. This is the place to experience some of the most serious techno in the city.
