Located in Berlin's edgy Mitte district, The Michelberger Hotel is the creation of a group of funky Berliners who have pooled their collective talents to create a fun communal living, dining and partying space. The Michelberger Hotel is just as popular with the cool Berlin crowd as it is with international musicians, designers and artists who can be found hanging out there throughout the day until late into the night. The Michelberger Cafe and Bar offers a variety of hangout spaces to suit all occasions: the long wooden communal tables are popular for casual dining, the living room is ideal for coffee while sitting on cosy vintage couches and mismatched chairs, while the standing room area spilling out onto the terrace is great for drinks. Eclectic furnishings such as lamp shades made of book covers and vintage suitcases stacked high against the walls add to the quirky vibe. The breakfast room is light and airy, a white-tiled space with hanging lights, grey slate flooring and the air of a cool dormitory cafeteria. The back courtyard and function space is a gathering place for drinks during the day, a concert and events venue during the evenings, and Berlin’s “smallest Christmas market” during the holiday season.
