Soho House Berlin

  • Design

Following the success of the Soho House Group’s exclusive hotel, restaurant and nightlife ventures in London, Miami and New York, their jet-set “private members club” concept has been exported to Berlin with their latest venture, the Soho House Berlin. The Soho House’s exclusive members only residences combine a happening bistro, a luxurious spa, a private 30 seater cinema hall, and a terrace bar. Located in the trendy Mitte neighborhood, the Soho House Berlin is set within a 1928 protected late-Bauhaus building which was formerly a department store, then a Communist Party archive. Added perks include a spa, hammam, gym, heated rooftop pool, a library with art and design books to take out or purchase, Cowshed products, and record players in most of the rooms complete with vinyl LPs. The 40 rooms are spread out over four floors of the eight story building, including the spacious 118 square meter ‘Extra Large’ rooms with free-standing baths, dining tables and seating areas; and the intimate ‘Tiny’ or  ‘Small’ rooms that feel like a dorm with wooden beds and steel cabinets. You’re bound to soak up the hipness of this plugged-in destination, where the in-house bar is a local hot spot until late into the night.
